Aaron Carter is no longer alive, but he will not leave his one-year-old kid impoverished.
One month has passed since the "I'm All About You" singer was discovered dead in his bathtub at his Lancaster, California, home. The investigation into Aaron Carter's official cause of death is still ongoing.
Despite the continuing investigation, Hollywood Life said that his son, Prince will inherit his father's vast fortune.
If a parent dies without a will, the deceased person's kid would inherit the state, followed by the remaining parent, according to a spokesman who talked to the station.
They did say, though, that the former pop star's family, including his mother Jane, determined that the whole inheritance, worth around $550,000, would go to Aaron's kid.
It's also something Aaron would have desired, according to the spokesperson.
Though the Carters have yet to meet Prince, they are said to be interested in a relationship with the one-year-old.
"The other [relatives] only want her son to rest in peace now, and Aaron's kid Prince will always be welcome to be a part of their family."
Aaron Carter's Net Worth Before Death
Aaron Carter was one of the most popular child stars of the 2000s, so it's only natural that people are curious about his net worth and how much money he made before his death.
However, according to TMZ, the singer died without a will. His lawyer had already recommended Aaron to form one following the birth of his son, Prince, whom he shared with his on-again, off-again fiancée, Melanie Martin, last year, when he was still alive.
Aaron was just nine years old when he made his music debut in 1997, yet his song "Crush On You" entered the official album charts and sold millions of copies worldwide. His following few albums and songs continued to be a hit as the years passed.
Aaron Carter's net worth, however, was merely $400,000 at the time of his death, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
However, during the height of his popularity as a teenager, the "Summertime" hitmaker confessed to Oprah in 2019 that his net worth was more than $200 million.

Aaron Carter's Relationship With Melanie Martin
Aaron Carter had a rocky connection with Prince's mother, Melanie Martin.
He proposed to her on YouTube Livestream in 2020. They split up and reconnected several times over the following two years.
Aaron decided to put his life back together in September and willingly checked himself into drug treatment. Melanie claimed she was suffering from postpartum depression at the time.
As a result, Prince was placed in the temporary custody of her mother, who is still his present guardian.
