Britney Spears irately took to Instagram to air out her frustrations about an unidentified fast food employee who took "pity" on her for crying in her car.

What was supposed to be a relaxing day of decompressing became somewhat like a nightmare for Spears.

The "Toxic" singer began her Instagram post by sharing her attempts at establishing a self-care routine, and how she often forgets to eat.

She then narrated how she got in her car to cry her eyes out, adding that her car is her safe place: "So I got in my car yesterday and cried. I cried so damn hard, but geez my car is my spaceship. It's where I have my best interests, thoughts, creative urges, ideas, it's spiritual."

On that particular day, after having her "me time" in her car, Spears decided to go and look for something to eat, and her eyes landed on the fast food chain, Jack in The Box.

"I've never ate there a day in my f**king life. I was like holy s**t and when I saw that big sig of pictures of the food [sic]," she continued.

She wrote that she ordered a cookies and cream milkshake and a double cheeseburger, and when she was picking it up from the drive-through, the fast food employee told her, "it's gonna be okay."

This set off the singer, who noted that she did not look like someone who just cried, "nobody could tell, only me. My face still looked normal."

Perhaps the comforting words was not what the singer was expecting to hear because she was furious.

"WTF did he just say?" She wrote. "He doesn't know me and I sure as hell didn't know his a*s. So what did he say that?"

She added that she was "offended" by his words and cursed at the fast food employee, "you don't know me. You're not my blood so go f**k yourself!"

As of this writing, the caption on the Instagram post has been changed, but the original picture uploaded still remains.

Fans React

This post comes weeks after Spears took some time off social media when the singer deleted her account but eventually put it back up. Daily Mail UK reports that she did this six times this year.

Netizens called Spears out for lashing out at the employee, while others defended her saying that her response is anchored on trauma.

"People in the comments are y'all okay? If I'm having a breakdown and a stranger came to me with a half baked feel good quote knowing 0 about my situation, yea, it would be frustrating and uncalled for. Say you're sorry for whatever it is I'm going through or just be quiet," a fan wrote.

"Working through trauma doesn't give you the right to be mean to other people," a Twitter user wrote.
