Despite being one of the most looked-up-to singers in the world, Adele revealed she still fears performing live.

Adele opened up about her current mental health status and what she truly feels about performing live amid her "Weekends With Adele" Las Vegas residency. The 34-year-old "Rolling in the Deep" hitmaker disclosed on Friday that she started undergoing therapy again after missing it in the past years.

Part of her therapy session involved her discussing how she gets stressed whenever she performs live.

"I love making music, but there is something about performing live that actually terrifies me and fills me with dread normally. That's why I am not a big touring artist. I did it last time to prove I could do it. But this experience of being in a room this size, I think I might be a live artist for the rest of my life," she went on, as quoted by PEOPLE.

Adele explained that the pressure she puts on herself as she strives hard to be perfect makes things worse for her. In fact, that was reportedly the reason why she postponed her shows in January.

After going through those things, she realized that she is just a human being who needs to help herself in overcoming those negative emotions.

The "Easy on Me" crooner added that she always tells her therapist that her soul is top-notch even when her voice is not. As to when she feels the happiest, she said having human interaction every weekends brings her peace and joy.

Adele Suffered Before Divorce

Deciding to undergo therapy again happened after she divorced Simon Konecki in 2019.

In her recent statement, Adele said she underwent five therapy sessions a day after her split from her ex-husband, with whom she shares her 10-year-old son. They filed for divorce five months after separating.

In 2021, she told Opray Winfrey in her "Adele One Night: Only" special that she decided to end things between them as she got exhausted to keep going with it.

The divorce reportedly left her feeling disappointed for herself and her son since she took the marriage seriously but failed to make it work. She also noted how saddening it was to feel like she dismantled her child's life to save herself.

Meanwhile, she told Vogue that she was not happy anymore in the marriage and that she wanted her son to see her love.
