Paula Abdul was made fun of on social media after she posted photos to Instagram with a filter that made her look decades younger than she actually is.

The dancer and singer, who is 60 years old, could have been mistaken for a teenager in a photo with Kathy Hilton at her star-studded holiday party. The photos that had been changed too much looked especially fake because Paula, who performed at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade last month and showed off her young body, already looks a lot younger than 60.

In the picture with Paris Hilton, it looked like the former American Idol judge only used a filter on herself. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star looked pretty natural. In the picture, Paula looked beautiful in a sheer green dress with a starburst pattern of beads across her chest. Her skin was strangely smooth and free of spots. Also, the picture didn't have as much definition as Kathy's face did. A short clip in the post showed Paula and Kathy talking animatedly, and the video didn't look like it had any filter effects.

"@kathyhilton always throws the most fabulous holiday party Merry Christmas!' she gushed in her caption. 'I hope everyone is having a wonderful day relaxing, celebrating and surrounded by friends and family. Sending you lots of love and holiday cheer♥️ XoP."

Even Heidi Klum, who is 11 years younger than Paula at 49, looked older than her in a filtered photo that also showed Jaclyn Smith from Charlie's Angels.

In a low-resolution picture from Paula's carousel, makeup artist Kályd Odeh, who did her makeup when she went to the Fashion Trust Arabia Prize Awards in Qatar in October, made Paula's face look fuzzy.

Even though it was clear that some of the photos had been changed, it didn't look like all of them had been changed as much. In a smiling photo with RHOBH star Crystal Kung Minkoff, Paula looked more like her age, and a picture of the two of them with Terri Seymour also made Paula look more like herself.

The choreographer's photoshopping was also subtle in a picture of her and Paris Hilton in the DJ booth while Hilton played music for the party. Even though she messed up the photoshop, many of her friends and party guests liked her Instagram post, but some of her fans were not as forgiving.

"Someone stole Paula's Insta..that's an entirely different face!" wrote one user. Others echoed the same sentiment.

Paula Abdul wouldn't be bothered by these criticisms, though. She never hesitates to say that she wants to look younger. Back in 2019, Paula Abdul was on "The Wendy Williams Show," where the host praised her for "never" getting older.

The 57-year-old singer said in a very honest moment that she had plastic surgery because she wanted a "little sleeker jawline" before her Las Vegas residency started. Paula Abdul's Las Vegas show, "Paula Abdul: Forever Your Girl," opened on August 13, 2019. Before celebrating her 30-year career at the Flamingo Las Vegas, Abdul said she had a number of cosmetic procedures. Abdul went to a company called InMode. This company designs, makes, and sells platforms that use radio frequency technology to do minimally invasive procedures. In August, Abdul became a brand ambassador for the company. She did this by following the steps she was given.
