The world of fashion and the entertainment industry is mourning the death of legendary fashion designer, Dame Vivienne Westwood, who dressed some of the best musicians over the past few decades.

According to reports, the designer, who was popularly known for her plaid-incorporated prints and distressed/grunge designs, died peacefully in Clapham, South London, surrounded by her family.

"The world needs people like Vivienne to make a change for the better," a statement from her representative wrote on her official social media accounts.

As of this writing, her spokesperson didn't reveal whether the activist suffered from any medical condition or not.

It appears that the legacy of the iconic fashion designer will forever live on as her husband and creative partner, Andreas Kronthaler, also issued a statement, saying he will continue running the company.

"We have been working until the end and she has given me plenty of things to get on with. Thank you darling," he wrote. (via Daily Mail UK)
