Priscilla Presley expressed her heartbreak after losing her only child with Elvis Presley.

The matriarch had to deliver the devastating news about her daughter's death on Jan. 12. She released a statement after Lisa Marie suffered cardiac arrest and ultimately passed away.

"It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us," her mother said, per Associated Press. "She was the most passionate, strong, and loving woman I have ever known."

Aside from her eulogy during the memorial service for the singer-songwriter, Priscilla remained silent until she braved her feelings again and posted a tweet.

"Thank you all for your condolences, you have touched me with your words," she said. "It has been a very difficult time but just knowing your love is out there makes a difference."

It became her latest social media update after announcing on the day of Lisa Marie's death that her daughter was rushed to a hospital. She confirmed the development at that time and asked fans to keep her and their family in their prayers.

The mother and daughter were still able to attend the Golden Globes two days before Lisa Marie's emergency health issue occurred. During Lisa Marie's last interview at the ceremony, however, she showed signs that she was not okay.

During her red carpet interview with ExtraTV, the crooner appeared wobbly on her feet that she needed to ask her talent manager Jerry Schilling if she could hold his arm. She also slurred her speech while talking to the interviewer.
