Riley Keough might have chosen to work in the film industry, but her roots in music, thanks to her grandfather, Elvis Presley, and mother, Lisa Marie Presley, will always show.

Maybe Riley Keough should consider launching a music career-looks like she definitely can if she wants to.

Riley Keough plays Daisy Jones in the upcoming series, "Daisy Jones and The Six," a series adaptation based on the New York Times best-seller novel of the same name.

The star had to unleash her singing prowess in the series, of course, given that Daisy Jones is the fictional lead singer of the band, Daisy Jones and The Six.

Unlike Elvis and Lisa Marie, Keough did not pursue a career in music, instead, began acting by the age of 20; although it is worth noting that Elvis himself entered the film industry and worked on several movies during the prime of his career.

While the 33-year-old actress has kept from the microphone and recording booth, there's no stopping the force that continually pulls her to music.

"Daisy Jones and The Six" is not the first time Keough has worked on a movie that needed her to sing and perform.

She made her film debut as a supporting act in the musical biopic "The Runaways," released in 2010, in which she portrayed Marie Curie.

Although she is more commonly known for her roles in the action movie "Mad Max: Fury Road," released in 2015, or her minor role in the comedy movie, "Magic Mike," she has definitely proved that she definitely has the music genes she inherited from her parents-both singers.

'Daisy Jones and The Six'

The novel the series is based on is written by Taylor Jenkins Reid, the genius behind "The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo," and will star Keough, Sam Claflin, Suki Waterhouse, Nabiyah Be, Camila Morrone, and more.

It will follow the story of superstar Daisy Jones during the erratic and wild world of the 1970s and will take on a documentary-style approach.

"Daisy Jones and The Six" will explore the fictional rise and fall of the biggest rock band in the world.

According to reports, the series will include 24 original songs, including the one that Keough was singing in the trailer, "Regret Me." It is a duet of Daisy Jones and Billy Dunne, portrayed by Sam Claflin.

The series will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on Mar. 3, 2023.
