Although it's been decades since Elvis Presley tragically died, his only child Lisa Marie Presley made sure to keep his legacy alive by performing some of his songs.

Through the years, she had released several covers of his songs, as well as some duets with the late King of Rock and Roll.

Just days before her death, on Jan. 8, Lisa Marie paid tribute to Elvis one last time at the very home he bought to bring her up in.

"Today, he [Elvis Presley] would have been 88 years old [...] "That's hard to believe. I think that he would be proud," she said in her speech during the event.

To pay tribute to Lisa Marie on her birthday, here is a compilation of the six most iconic and memorable songs she covered and "duetted" with Elvis.

"Dont Cry Daddy" (1997)

The first time fans heard Lisa Marie sing a tribute to her father is arguably the most memorable one.

During the 20th anniversary of Elvis' death, a video of Lisa Marie performing "Don't Cry Daddy" with Evlis' original vocal was shown to the well-attended event.

"Where No One Stands Alone" (2018)

"Where No One Stands Alone" is the title track of a new compilation of Elvis' songs, which includes some of his vocal recordings from his gospel albums "How Great Thou Art" and "He Touched Me."

The new album is described to celebrate " the power and passion of Elvis Presley's gospel recordings."

Through new technology, the team behind the album was able to improve the sound quality of the tracks, released several decades back.

"I just felt really emotional. It's never pleasant to sing and cry," Lisa Marie shared. "I had to keep my composure, but I felt very connected to him and to the song."

"I wouldn't say I talk to [him], I just remember everything and all the... I can just sort of pull out of the files whatever memory I have and stuff like that and occasionally ask for help... which was the case with this record.

"I felt like a hand came down to me. It felt like that a little bit."

"I Love You Because" (2012)

Recorded back in 1954, Lisa Marie gave "I Love You Because" a new face when she recorded it for the 35th anniversary of Elvis' death.

The song was accompanied by a music video that showed clips and pictures of Lisa Marie and Elvis' grandchildren, as well as some throwback pictures of Elvis with Lisa Marie.

The lyrics go: "I love you because you understand, dear/ Every single thing I try to do / You're always there to lend a helping hand, dear / I love you most of all, because you're you."

"In The Ghetto" (2007)

Lisa Marie recorded "In The Ghetto" in 2007 as a tribute to her father on his 30th death anniversary.

Coincidentally, before she began recording the song, Hurricane Katrina hit the country, and thus proceeds from the song went to the Presley Charitable Foundation, which in turn helped open transitional housing for homeless families in New Orleans.
