A Fleetwood Mac reunion has been up in the air for quite a long time already.
However, with Christine McVie's death last year calls for a reunion tour have exacerbated, with fans calling for a tribute tour or performance to commemorate the late vocalist's passing.
According to BBC, McVie died in the hospital last Nov. 30, 2022, at the old age of 79 years old.
Christine McVie's death was announced by her family on social media.
"On behalf of Christine McVie's family, it is with a heavy heart we are informing you of Christine's death. She passed away peacefully at hospital this morning, Wednesday, Nov. 30 2022, following a short illness," the post read.
Other members of the band have also expressed their sadness about the unfortunate ending of their bandmate.
Stevie Nicks, one of McVie's close collaborators and friends, offered her condolences to the music legend.
"A few hours ago I was told that my best friend in the whole world since the first day of 1975 had passed away. I didn't even know she was ill...until late Saturday night. I wanted to be in London; I wanted to get to London-but we were told to wait," Nicks said in a post.

Christine McVie's death was honored at the 2023 Grammy Awards In Memoriam Segment, where Sheryl Crow, Bonnie Raitt, and Mick Fleetwood sang a cover of "Songbird" for McVie and other artists who passed away recently.
Speaking to The Los Angeles Times about a possible Fleetwood Mac reunion, Mick said that right now, the band is "drawn" to the loss of McVie.
However, Mick said that there are still chances that a Fleetwood Mac reunion might happen, but not officially, as they would be doing it individually.
"I'd say we're done, but then we've all said that before. It's sort of unthinkable right now," he admitted.
Mick also added that every other living member of the band would be unavailable for a Fleetwood Mac reunion as they are committed to other performance gigs.
Mcvie is a recipient of the Gold Badge of Merit Award from the Ivors Academy in 2006. She also got an Ivor Novello Award from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors. UK Americana Awards also deemed her with the Trailblazer Award in 2021, apart from her two Grammy Awards.
