Sam Smith was allegedly enraged at the Brit Awards 2023, and it's not because he became a laughingstock due to his outfit.

The "Stay With Me" singer became more agitated backstage at London's O2 Arena, according to insiders who spoke to The Sun, when their $604,000 set, which included automobiles, was delayed as a result.

They reported that tempers escalated as the workers worked to remedy the mistakes. To address the issue, event organizers even covertly advanced Stormzy on the billion.

They then aired a video montage of Adele on stage to waste time while they rebuilt the set of Sam's performance of "Unholy" with Kim Petras, much to the surprise of the millions of spectators watching at home.

Sam may have had a faultless performance, but behind the scenes, a source who spoke with The Sun claimed, there had been nightmares.

The entire set was constructed and prepared to go when it had to be dismantled due to a problem.

Sam was naturally enraged, and the atmosphere backstage was very hostile, they claimed.

The media site cited a connection between the automobiles utilized in the intricate set and the technological problem that resulted in the drama.

The three-time Brit Award winner, who arrived at the concert wearing a black latex bodysuit with bulbous arms and legs, was anticipated to join Kim at the Universal afterparty at 180 The Strand.

However, they failed to show on Saturday night following the event.

Another insider stated to the newspaper how Sam was satisfied with their performance at the Brit Awards 2023, but the tension prior wiped the shine off his night altogether.

"What should have been a fantastic night for Sam ended up being extremely stressful," they added. "They made a rapid escape from the ceremony and didn't bother going to celebrate at any of the label parties."

Sam Smith was dubbed "over-thirsty for attention" by various commentators in response to his red carpet attire that evening.

Sam Smith, however, lost out to Harry Styles for both Song of the Year with "Unholy" by Kim Petras and Best Pop/R&B Act on two separate occasions.

But they did win the Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance trophy last week. The first openly transgender performer to get a Grammy award was Kim Petras.
