Blended families are coming together after Bruce Willis' deteriorating health.

The action star has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, his bereaved family said in a tragic update on his health a few days ago.

The 67-year-old has taken a hiatus from performing after his family revealed in March 2022 that he was having financial difficulties after being well-known for roles in films including "Pulp Fiction," "The Sixth Sense," and "Armageddon."

Rumer, 34, Scout, 31, and Tallulah, 28, are his three children with his ex-wife Demi Moore, and the two have apparently become closer recently.

According to a source who talked to Radar Online, Demi and the rest of Bruce Willis' blended family have been in touch with Emma Heming, who is now Bruce's wife.

Demo is making the most of every opportunity to be with Bruce, contacting him on the phone only to let him hear her voice when she's not at his side.

As they battle to come to terms with the deterioration of his condition, the "Ghost" actress and Emma are said to have grown closer. Emma also started acting as a go-between for Demi and Bruce.

The source said that Emma "has really been the voice and communicator for him" because Bruce "can't speak much, and it doesn't appear like he's absorbing much of what people say."

They know he won't be around long, so they're cherishing every minute, the insider continued, adding that the entire family has been uniting around the renowned action hero.

The family continues to hold out hope that he will be healed, especially now that Rumer, the oldest daughter, is expecting Bruce's first grandchild.

According to reports, the actor is committed to maintain his mental clarity for as long as possible in order to leave his grandchild with fond memories of a grandpa who was involved and present in their life.

He is adamant that this newborn will receive the greatest care possible.

The frontal and temporal lobes of the brain, which are responsible for controlling language, conduct, and decision-making, are affected by frontotemporal lobar degeneration, a form of dementia. Damage to the brain cells that results in FTD causes a steady deterioration in a person's capacity for thought, communication, and independent functioning.

Bruce, however, previously had aphasia, a language condition that can impair one's capacity for speaking, understanding, reading, or writing. It is frequently brought on by harm to the language centers of the brain, which can happen as a result of a stroke, severe brain injury, or a neurological illness like dementia.

Why Did Bruce Willis and Demi Moore Divorce?

After 13 years of marriage, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore were divorced in 2000. The pair, who are well-known for being among Hollywood's most famous and outwardly content couples, did not publicly give a reason for their divorce.

Yet, there were several stories and conjectures regarding the causes of their breakup.

One of the most pervasive allegations was that Bruce and Demi's marriage had been marred by infidelity.

There have been rumors that the couple's objectives and interests have changed over time, causing them to grow apart.

Given that they had three girls together and Bruce had a daughter from a previous marriage, several publications also claimed that the pair had struggled with their blended family.

Bruce and Demi co-parented their kids and remained good friends after divorcing. Bruce has openly expressed his appreciation and admiration for Demi as a mother and as a person, and they have been known to spend holidays and other significant events together as a family.
