The legendary Hollywood actor, Bruce Willis, has been diagnosed with dementia.

Struggling with his words and memories, his family is doing their utmost to enjoy their time with him.

It is reported that Rumer Willis, his eldest daughter, is organizing her wedding soon so he can accompany her down the aisle.

Rumer Willis, the 34-year-old soon-to-be mother of one, eagerly awaits her father's attendance at her wedding to partner Derek Richard Thomas. It has been revealed that not only does she desire his presence at the event, but also his involvement in it.

She isn't just hoping for her father to attend her wedding, but she also desires him to participate in the festivities. As per a source close to the situation who spoke to Radar Online, "Rumer desperately wants her father to not only remember her wedding but participate."

Time is a critical factor for Bruce, with medical professionals advising that he may suffer further debilitating effects of aphasia soon without timely intervention.

Aphasia is an affliction associated with dementia that affects language and communication skills.

Anxious to give her father a lasting memory, Rumer hastily plans her wedding. She hopes to share with her dad something he can cherish for years.

"The fact that doctors have said he could have as little as a few years left before the worst effects of the aphasia assert themselves is driving the decision for Rumer to get married as quickly as possible."
