After being diagnosed with aphasia, Bruce Willis' family announced that he will retire from acting in March 2022.

Regrettably, his condition has progressed to frontotemporal dementia.

His family said in a new statement that the renowned action hero had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, an illness that affects cognitive ability.

It was stated that Bruce Willis' mother, Marlene, feels he no longer knows her as his health deteriorates.

Marlene described how upsetting it has been to see her son's condition deteriorate and how difficult it has been for the family to communicate with him.

"She is not sure if her kid still remembers her," Marlene's cousin Wilfried Gliem said in an interview with BILD.

"His conduct is extremely sluggish, there is always a tiny aggression, and it is no longer able to have a normal discussion with him, despite the fact that this behavior is typical in his clinical state," Marca reported.

Bruce Willis was just 67 years old when he announced his retirement from acting. He made no public remarks, but his family members, including ex-wife Demi Moore and current wife Emma Herning, did.

They indicated that Bruce had trouble communicating, making up phrases, and using new words as a result of the disease's symptoms.

This is why Bruce Willis's acting career would be so difficult to sustain.
