Madonna has been making headlines since appearing at this year's Grammy Awards as many online users have commented on her appearance, saying she got way overboard with her plastic surgery. More recently, the pop star showed off her new face after recovering from surgery.

Taking to her official Twitter account, the "Like A Virgin" songstress shared a photo of herself donning a baggy jacket, ripped jeans, black cap, and braided orange hair.

In the snap, posted on Monday, the musician's face looks slightly different from what she looked like at the awards show.

"Look how cute i am now that swelling from surgery has gone down. Lol," she wrote in the caption, but she didn't give fans any context on what type of surgery she underwent.

The recent news comes two weeks after Madonna appeared at the Grammy Awards to introduce a performer During her speech, she addressed the crowd by shining a light to "all rebels" who forged a new path.

"You guys need to know all you troublemakers out there. You need to know that your fearlessness does not go unnoticed... You are seen, you are heard, and most of all, you are appreciated," she added.

After introducing Sam Smith and Kim Petras, who made history for being the first transwoman to perform at the Grammys, for their performance of "Unholy," many fans immediately took to social media platforms to comment on Madonna's face.

Many of them pointed out that the "Material Girl" hitmaker looks unrecognizable as her face was a little puffed and her wrinkles are gone.

A few days after the ceremony, the musician called out those who have been commenting on her face, saying she's being caught in the glare of "ageism and misogyny."

"A world that refuses to celebrate women pass the age of 45 And feels the need to punish her If she continues to be strong-willed, hard-working, and adventurous," she said.

The pop star later noted that she has never said sorry for any of her creative choices over the decades, adding the media have degraded her since the early days of her career but she understands that what she's been experiencing is just a hurdle.

"I am happy to do the trailblazing so that all the women behind me can have an easier time in the years to come," she added.
