Hayden Panettiere is said to be "inconsolable" following the death of her brother, Jansen Panettiere.

Jansen's official cause of death is unknown as of this writing, but additional information regarding his mental health has been uncovered, including how he suffered from anxiety and depression.

The sole brother of the "Nashville" actress died on Sunday at his New York apartment, and no foul play is suspected.

But, a source told the Daily Mail that Jansen, an actor and graffiti artist, was experiencing difficulties recently due to his work.

An unidentified source revealed that Jansen felt like he was "being dragged in so many directions."

According to Jansen's online profile, he became interested in painting after giving up his Hollywood lifestyle.

His website stated, "After spending time in LA as an adult he was ridden with terrible anxiety and depression." It further said that the younger brother would later use art to heal himself.

The biography also said how that time in his life resulted in a spiritual clarity, which prompted Jansen to paint his concerns.

In his lifetime, he made more than 50 works and continued to cure himself and others via his "visceral and expressive art."
