Jansen Panettiere's cause of death has finally been revealed.

Hayden Panettiere's younger brother died on February 19, 2023, at his home in Nyack, New York.

Jansen Panettiere's family reported on Monday that the real cause of death was an enlarged heart.

In a statement by the family provided to ABC News, "Though it offers little solace, the Medical Examiner reported Jansen's sudden passing was due to cardiomegaly (enlarged heart), coupled with aortic valve complications."

"Jansen's heart could be seen in his eyes, and his charm in his brilliant, engaging smile."

"His soul in his masterful and revealing paintings, and the joy of life in his dry wit."

"His charisma, warmth, compassion for others, and his creative spirit will live forever in our hearts and in the hearts of all whom he encountered."

According to an Orangetown Police Department report, Jansen was discovered lifeless and sitting straight in a chair by one of his friends.

A friend dialed 911 and started CPR.

Jansen's friends got concerned when he missed a business appointment earlier that day. When EMTs arrived at 5PM they discovered him laying on his back on the floor of his living room, not breathing.

The companion reportedly stated that Jansen was "cold to the touch," and he was confirmed dead shortly after.

His father, Alan, also told police that he spoke with his son the night before and that he "sounded okay."

There were no evident indicators of trauma seen according to police.
