Quavo dropped a new song confirming that Migos disbanded after Takeoff's death.

On Thursday, Quavo released the second track that honors his nephew, Takeoff, who was fatally shot in November. The new song, titled "Greatness," followed his first tribute song "Without You," in January.

But aside from honoring his nephew, the 31-year-old rapper hinted at their group's split through the track's lyrics.

"Came in, swept the game like a storm with the motherf------ flow, n----, Take' did that," he raps. "So don't ask about the group, he gone, we gone, young n----, it can't come back."

Buzz surrounding Migos' possible disbandment emerged after Takeoff's death. The other 1/3 of the group, Offset, also sparked split rumors as early as Sep. 6.

At that time, the "5 4 3 2 1" rapper appeared on "The Tonight Show" and performed two of his new solo songs. His performance followed Quavo and Takeoff's separate announcement regarding their album, Only Built 4 Infinity Links."

In addition, Offset's relationship with Migos' label, Quality Control, worsened in the past years, He filed a lawsuit against the company as he claimed that "he negotiated his solo deal and paid handsomely" for the music rights.

Migos also left fans worried after the group canceled their scheduled June 2022 Governor's Ball performance.

With Takeoff's death, Quavo scored a chance to announce Migos' split in the most creative and unexpected way.

The late Migos member died after a shooting incident broke out following a "lucrative" dice game outside the 810 Billiards & Bowling in Houston. An affidavit released in December stated Quavo threw a punch after losing money to two unnamed men during the game. The fight led two people to exchange gunfire, with some of the stray bullets ended up killing Takeoff.

Migos Disbanded in May 2022?

Amid the signs of the split, Hypebeast cited a Twitter user who noticed that Offset and Cardi B both unfollowed Takeoff and Quavo in May 2022.

Fans checked the development and confirmed the unfollow spree between the artists.
