Tom Jones has been around in the music industry for decades now and he's constantly releasing hits and going on tours toG his fans' delight. Little did his newer supporters know he had a great friendship with the late Elvis Presley; find out more about their special connection below.

Appearing on "The Graham Norton Show" in 2021, the musician detailed his personal relationship with the Rock & Roll legend and he knew from the very start that their friendship will be one for the books.

It all began in 1965, his first year in the industry. At the time, he was staying at the Gene Autry Hotel in California. Upon checking in, he was set to record music at the nearby Paramount Studios.

At the time, he was informed that Presley would also be present at the recording studio and he was excited to meet him in person.

When he finally arrived, the musician started singing Jones' new song "With These Hands" as they started greeting each other. That's when their life-long friendship began.

Elvis Presley appears to love music even though he was not on stage as the singer explained they would sing gospel music in Las Vegas after performing.

The two legends' friendship is indeed intimate and it even went to a point where they had a hilarious incident in the bathroom.

Speaking to Conan O'Brien in 2015, the singer said Presley kept bugging him with a song that was offered to him and he felt like his friend would be a better fit if he sang it.

The legend was pushing him to accept the offer to the point that he started serenading him in the bathroom while showering.

"I got in the shower, and I was washing my hair," then he heard the musician singing. Upon getting the soap out of his eyes, Jones saw Presley's face inches away from him over the top of the shower.

The "If I Can Dream" hitmaker reportedly had been in the toilet.

"I'm naked and he's half-naked... his pants were down round his ankles," Jones added.

The story doesn't end there as Elvis Presley then called his bodyguard, Red West, into the bathroom to help him with his leather pants.

The two went on to have an amazing friendship until Presley's death in 1977.
