P!nk has been one of the most prominent pop-rock singers in the past few decades. Revered as one of the first female artists who has paved the way for bridging pop and rock genres, the singer has inspired an entire generation of artists to continue the well-loved genre.

With the likes of Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, and even SZA, P!nk credits these artists for "changing the game" on the current music landscape.

In a new Z100 New York interview, P!nk gets candid as she reflects on her career and speaks about the new musicians.

"I put my head down, I perfect my craft, I stay out of everybody else's lane and I stay in my line. And now I own that lane, that's my lane," P!nk told the outlet. "For other people: It's like, don't worry about if your song is going to fit into radio format - I guess for other singers."

P!nk started in the industry through her R&B debut album, "Can't Take Me Home." She then started doing pop and pop-rock songs, which made her a force to reckon with on the main and subgenres. Regarded as being "pop royalty," Pink's iconic raspy voice and stage acrobatic performance makes her one of the most sought after performers in years.

She has sold over 135 million records worldwide, putting her on the coveted list of the world's best-selling singers.

Furthering her thought, P!nk cited a famous Dr. Seuss lesson - "No one else can be you-er than you. Do you. Do you 'cause no one else can do that. And craft real songs that people aren't gonna forget."

She ultimately makes the comparison of doing songs that people won't forget to the likes of Olivia Rodrigo.

Rodrigo and P!nk have interacted in the past already, mainly through the veteran singer's daughter, Willow, who has sung Rodrigo's "The Rose Song," on her school recital, showcasing the impressive vocal prowess she inherited from her mom.

"I think that's what Olivia Rodrigo is doing. That's why I love that Willow loves her so much ... She's writing her own songs, she's so good at it, she's fronting an almost all-female band, she's singing her a- off. She was like what, 17, 18, writing those songs?" she continued. "I'm so proud of the girls out. There's so many bada- girls out that are changing the game. Billie Eilish, SZA - changing the game and I love it. I'm here for it."

P!nk has been on a press tour to promote her latest album, "Trustfall," and her upcoming tours in the summer and fall of 2023.
