Despite his worsening health, country music star Allan Jackson, 64, has not lost his love of singing.

He has been suffering from Charcot-Marie-Tooth illness for the past decade, and the nerve ailment has suddenly worsened.

Alan Jackson has begun production on a new record to make the most of his time before becoming a wheelchair user.

One of Jackson's pals told the Globe magazine, "Alan's health has worsened considerably, and he can scarcely handle walking without stumbling."

After being informed that his future might entail being confined to a wheelchair and losing use of his limbs, the country superstar is determined to finish on a high note and strive as hard as they can while they can.

"Alan believes his health situation has affected how he looks at songwriting. Knowing this is likely his final album, he's motivated to give it all he's got, even during these tough times. He feels pleased of what he did with this project," his anonymous buddy stated.

Alan Jackson was diagnosed with idiopathic neuropathy, a degenerative neurological disorder that affects the nerves that regulate sensation and movement in the limbs, in May 2021.

Symptoms of the illness include numbness, tingling, weakness, and pain in the hands and feet.

In interviews, he has also been upfront about his condition and has expressed thanks to his followers for their support during this difficult time.
