The "Flowers" hitmaker, who's currently taking over the Billboard charts, teamed up with Disney+ for a documentary titled "Endless Summer Vacation (Backyard Sessions)" where she performed her latest songs as well as explained the meanings behind them.

Cyrus noted in the special that when fans listen to her new album, it would sound like having a conversation with her because there's a mixture of shade, honesty, truth, wisdom, and humor.

"It represents who I am and I feel that the greatest records that I've been able to make or the greatest songs that I've been able to write they do exactly that," she said. (via MSN)

Elsewhere in the Disney collab, the pop star opened up about the song "Thousand Miles," a collaborative project with Brandi Carlile, saying the lyrics was inspired by the love for her younger sister, Noah Cyrus.

Initially, the song sounded different from the final cut. She wrote it around 2016 to 2017 after one of her closest friends lost her sister to suicide.

The reason why she worked on the track was that she couldn't imagine not having her little sister in her life, adding, "I wrote this song for her. It was originally called 'Happy Girl' and it was, 'I just wanna see you happy and all I really want is for you to be happy, girl.'"

The singer, who was emotional while sharing more information about the track, said the song was about sisterhood and happiness and the reason why she was tearing up in the interview was that it's filled with "so much joy" and it has come a long way from her initial inspiration.

Later in the conversation, the musician sang the original lyrics of the demo version:

"There was a friend of mine. Her name was Darlene, but all of us called her Becky. / I don't know why. I knew she was hurting. But I never thought I'd wake up to that call. Never at all," the lyrics read.

Miley Cyrus' "Endless Summer Vacation (Backyard Sessions)" is now available for streaming on Disney+ while her latest album can be streamed on major music platforms online.
