Ellie Goulding considers her most recent album to be her "least personal" to date. It's everything and anything that does not involve her or affect her in real life. Does this mean it's a bad album? Of course not.

On April 7, the singer-songwriter will release her fifth studio album titled "Higher Than Heaven."  Ellie explained in an interview with Rolling Stone that she wanted to create a record that was entirely different from her previous album, 2020's Brightest Blue.

She said that in the best way possible, this album was not based on her personal experiences, and it was such a relief and a welcome change to not be sitting in the studio reliving everything that had happened to her and impacted her just to release new songs that people will love and relate to.

She said doing that can be quite overwhelming because she has strong emotions.

Therefore, the newest is the least personal album, but she believes it is the best yet because she was able to investigate other aspects of herself.

She shared that she simply takes great pleasure in writing and singing.

Ellie has already released a number of singles from the album, such as "Easy Lover" and "Let It Die." The British singer-songwriter chose 2012's :Anything Could Happen" as the composition she will always relate to.

She explained that it is just the feeling she gets every time she performs it that makes her think this way.

She added that when she listens back, sh has nno idea how she performed that tune. She was unable to describe how she felt or what she was going through. Consequently, when she listens to certain songs that she composed in the past, she ended up admiring the person she was at the time because she does not believe she will ever be able to write another song of that caliber. And she believes it best defines who she is, in an unexplainable way.

Ellie Goulding is poised to thrill fans as the featured performer at a concert taking place at Walton Heath during the AIG Women's Open.

Live music will be featured for the very first time as part of a new, enhanced fan experience designed to attract new and diverse audiences to the championship to appreciate the highest level of women's golf. Goulding, winner of a BRIT Award, will perform for supporters on August 12 after the conclusion of play.
