The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has been fined a whopping amount for breaking curfew rules several times.

On April 14, Coachella started bringing music acts to the festival with BLACKPINK, Bad Bunny, and Frank Ocean as headlining musicians. Although it follows a schedule, the festival should wrap up by 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

However, it reportedly has not happened since the festival started.

Coachella Festival Fined $117,000 For Breaking Curfew Rules

Representatives for Coachella confirmed to Pitchfork that the festival was fined $117,000 due to its curfew violations.

It started breaking the rule on April 14 - the day one of the event - when it went over by 25 minutes. The festival missed the curfew time on Saturday and Sunday again by 22 minutes and 25 minutes, respectively.

The Sunday's schedule was affected by Ocean's headlining set as it began an hour later than scheduled. It was later revealed that the singer injured his ankle days before his performance and was advised by his doctors to change his production.

The festival's recent issue is part of the agreement established by Goldenvoice and the city of Indio in 2013.

As shared by Pitchfork, the document states that the organizers will be fined $20,000 for going five minutes past curfew. Every minute after that will cost $1,000.

The fines go to Indio's General Fund, which is reportedly being dedicated to several other things including public works, operating costs, and fees for the police and fire departments.

Coachella Would Have Wrapped Up Earlier on Sunday

After the Friday and Saturday violations, Coachella would have saved itself from the Sunday fines if Ocean started on time.

Fans were left frustrated after the R&B artist's highly-anticipated performance got delayed by an hour. Viral videos shared the "empty stage" which reportedly became a "disappointing production."

One concertgoer also shared the text (per The Independent), "When it's an hour past Frank's performance time, people are starting to leave, and he is nowhere to be found."

Others said they were left standing "in the cold" and waiting for over an hour.

Reports later revealed that Ocean suffered an ankle injury while having on-site rehearsals. Due to his health issue, he reworked his setlist and included some of his biggest hits.

He ended his performance by covering Aaliyah's "At Your Best (You Are Love)."
