14 years ago, Taylor Swift went on her first headlining tour ever in her entire career, little did the young country star know how big she would get more than a decade later.

According to Cat Country Jersey Shore, the musician, who started out in the country music industry, kicked off her headlining tour at the Roberts Municipal Stadium in Evansville, Indiana, on April 23, 2009. Like her recent "Eras" tour, the musician also had a sold-out show at the time.

Her "Fearless" tour features songs from her 2008 album of the same name, and it became one of her most iconic records to date as it managed to dominate the country and pop charts in the United States.

Taylor Swift traveled to cities across Noth America and England until November of that year. In 2010, the tour continued in Australia before wrapping up with another leg in the U.S. and Canada.

Aside from headlining her own tour, she was also an opening act for Keith Urban and Kenny Chesney during that period of her career.

Taylor Swift's Headlining Tour is a 'Dream Come True'

As an artist who was only two years into her career at the time, having a headlining tour meant a lot to her as she previously said in a press release that it was a "dream come true."

"This way I can play more music every night than I ever have before. Having written my own songs, they are all stories in my head, and my goal for this tour is to bring those stories to life," she added.

Compared to her massive tour today, it appears that there are some aspects of her that never changed at all as she only proved that she is a complete visionary when it comes to creative direction and concepts.

"I've been working really hard to make this show as multi-dimensional as possible," she said at the time.

Similar to the "Eras" tour, Swift also had multiple costume changes and played different instruments each night of her headlining tour.

Regarding the set design, the press release also noted how talented Swift is outside of music as the theatrics and visual elements were designed by the artist herself.

Taylor Swift Today

Today, Taylor Swift is undoubtedly the biggest singer on the planet, having sold out numerous stadiums for her current tour and selling millions of copies of albums worldwide.

The only difference between her headlining tour and her current one is the number of fans supporting her as she's bigger than she was 14 years ago.

Everything was also bigger in terms of theatrics and stage design as the "Eras" tour features massive props, dazzling costume changes, and more.
