It was a complete surprise to the many fans of country singer Morgan Wallen on Sunday night when they arrived at Vaught Hemingway Stadium and were told he would not be able to perform at his show.

During pre-show preparations for Morgan Wallen's concert, the Ole Miss football stadium was abuzz with an unexpected announcement projected across the video boards: Wallen had lost his voice and couldn't perform, per WTVA.

According to a message on the stadium screen, "Ladies and gentlemen, unfortunately, Morgan has lost his voice and cannot perform tonight. Therefore, tonight's show has been canceled."

"Please make your way safely to the stadium exits. Refunds for tonight's event will be available at point of purchase."

The announcement came after many fans had already made their way into the stadium.

On Saturday, Morgan Wallen played a show at a stadium for its inaugural concert, but one night later came news of his cancellation.

This dismayed many in attendance who had also stayed through all of its opening acts - so much so that their rage spilled onto social media.

"Completely disappointed," one person said on Twitter, while another claimed they were at the stadium for three hours already only to find out that Morgan Wallen's concert has been canceled.

As it stands, there has been no word from Morgan regarding the recent cancellation of his show.

This unfortunate event occurred just days after the country superstar hilariously took a tumble while performing in Kentucky on Thursday night; fog effects had obscured his vision and resulted in quite a comedic fall.
