Taylor Swift's fans, dubbed as Swifties, are devastated after a concertgoer named Jacob Lewis died due to a car crash just after attending the musicians "Eras" tour in Houston, Texas. Most recently, the family as raised more than $100,000 after fans donated a specific amount of money that is significant to the pop star.

According to the recent update of the fan's GoFundMe page set up by his parents, they raised over $115,259, which surpassed their goal of $75,000.

More than 7,000 donors have already donated money, specifically $13 as the number is special for Swift herself.

Page Six reported that the fund-raising page was bombarded by heartwarming lyrics from the musician's discography, like, "you were bigger than the whole sky," from her album "Midnights."

As of this writing, Taylor Swift has yet to comment on the recent passing of her supporter.

Taylor Swift Fan Dead After Attending 'Eras' Tour in Houston

In early reports, the 20-year-old fan and his sister, April Bancroft, attended the singer's "Eras" tour in Houston. The vehicle reportedly had problems, leading Jacob to get out of the car and push it.

Unfortunately, another vehicle swept him away, leading to his tragic death.

According to authorities in charge of the incident, the driver, who was suspected drunk at the time, immediately fled the scene, but he was followed by a tow-truck driver who saw the whole incident.

Later on, police finally arrested and identified the suspect named Alan Bryant Hayes.

Why is 13 Significant to Taylor Swift?

Fans have been donating $13 to Jacob Lewis' GoFundMe page as the number is special for Taylor Swift. Why is it so significant for her?

According to her fan wiki page, the pop star considers 13 as her lucky number because she was born on the 13th, turned 13 on Friday the 13th, her debut album became gold in 13 weeks, and her first song to reach number one on the charts had a 13 second intro.

All of the incidents mentioned above was not intentional and it even came to a point where she's always seated at the 13th row or row M (the 13th letter) whenever she attends an Awards Show.

When she won the CMA awards, Swift revealed that a producer came up to her when she was sound-checking for a performance and he said that they're going to start in 13 seconds.
