Corey Taylor is thriving in his solo career outside of Slipknot as he's set to release a new album soon after signing with a new record label; when is his next musical project coming out?

According to Loudwire, the metal band's frontman is now an artist under BMG (BMG Rights Management) and he's expected to release his second solo studio album, titled "CMF2." It appears that the name of his new record is now confirmed after the title previously leaked around the metal community.

Speaking about his new label, the rock star said he wanted to work with the company because "they came in super hot wanting to work with me, and they've been keeping the fires burning for rock, punk and metal over the last few years." (via Billboard)

Per the outlet, the album will be released later this year, however, there are still no announcement regarding its official date.

In addition to being under BMG, Taylor is also planning to sign new artists who are starting out in the music industry and he's thankful for the record company for giving him a "solid way to help bolster any rad new acts"

"BMG is going to help me put my money where my mouth is - giving a boost to the next generation," he added.

The company's executive, Jason Hradil, noted that they are thrilled to welcome the metal rocker to their family and his new album is an "extension" of the incredible things he released in the past. They also couldn't wait for the record to be released this year for global fans to hear it.

It appears that the musician has been working on his new album before he signed the deal with BMG as bassist Eliot Lorango previously teased fans that he's involved in the process of the upcoming record.

Taking to his official Facebook account, the musician shared behind the scenes photos of their rehearsals before recording the album, saying the project is going to be "awesome."

This isn't the first time a teaser about Taylor's solo project have been discussed, as he previously said in an interview that he's going to focus on his solo project after Slipknot's tour last year. (via Metal Sucks)

He also plans to go on a solo tour with other musical acts that needed to be recognized.
