Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift make up "The A Team."

In a recent interview, the "Bad Habits" singer revealed that he and Swift are still as close as they have ever been since they first met over a decade ago.

"I have long, long, long conversations with Taylor about stuff just because I feel like she's one of the only people that actually truly [understand] where I'm at," he told Apple Music 1's Zane Lowe.

In fact, their conversations are so long at their most recent one reached 20 hours, Sheeran added. "I mean that in itself is kind of therapy as well because you're actually talking to someone that genuinely gets it."

20 Hours, 10 Years

According to reports, Sheeran and Swift first met each other in 2012 after the former heard that the "Red" singer had written down his lyrics on her arm during one of his shows.

The kind and somewhat absurd act left an impression on Sheeran, who reached out to Swift through her manager.

The pair have been friends since then, and they have worked on several collaborations together as well.

The first one is "Everything Has Changed," a song from Swift's fourth studio album. Sheeran was also invited to record the song once again for Swift's rerecorded version of "Red" years later.

The "Photograph" singer was also frequently seen with Swift during the "Red Tour." He wore a clown costume while she donned her famous ringmaster costume.

He was also included in Swift's monumental 2017 album "Reputation," for the song "End Game" which also featured Future.

New Collabs, More Friends

With so much time, music, and respect between them, there is no surprise that Sheeran would turn to the "Anti-Hero" singer when things get a little too rough.

"I mean that in itself is kind of therapy as well, because you're actually talking to someone that genuinely gets it," he explained.

"That has all the things that you feel and have insecurities about and how other people treat you or how your family treat you, how your friends treat you. She's basically in the same sphere."

Aside from the occasional therapy sessions with Swift, Sheeran also shared that it was she who introduced him to Aaron Dessner.

Swift worked with Dessner for her hit albums "Folklore" and "Evermore," and she has now passed the baton to Sheeran.
