Sparks flew between international superstars Shakira and Tom Cruise.
Insiders have disclosed that the "Mission Impossible" star is eager to explore a connection with the Princess of Latin Pop.
This past weekend, news outlets were abuzz after Tom Cruise and Shakira were seen getting cozy at a race track at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Miami.
While both stars are currently single, Shakira broke her 11-year relationship with soccer star Gerard Piqué in June 2022 due to alleged infidelity.
A source close to the situation told Page Six, "The connection between Shakira and Tom Cruise is palpable. He could be the soft place for her to fall on."
It has also been claimed that not only is the action movie star is described to be "attractive, talented, and shorter than her," the source added Tom even sent the "Waka Wake" singer some flowers. This is said to be a strong indication of his admiration.
The source reiterated that it looks like romance might be in the air.
Although the "Top Gun: Maverick" actor appears enthusiastic about Shakira, sources tell Radar Online that she should limit her interest in him.
"Tom would be delighted to find someone special," they said, "but his reputation is less than desirable."
There have been few reports on Tom Cruise's love life for almost a decade since his six-year union with Katie Holmes broke apart in 2012.
He was recently romantically linked to his "Mission Impossible" co-star Hayley Atwell, but unfortunately, it fell through.
"Tom did everything he could to keep Hayley around," said one source close to him. "Women find his intensity too much for them."

Meanwhile, it's still best to take these reports with a grain of salt as it was reported that the "She Wolf" singer recently made headlines with rumors of her dating Tom Cruise, but a source close to her finds these rumors "hilariously" exaggerated.
Even though they had a great time when they met up at the F1 event, there is no intention to take things further between them.
Us Weekly's source revealed that while the "Whenever Wherever" singer had an enjoyable evening out with Tom at F1, she is not interested in taking things further.
"Tom was really friendly and she enjoyed his company," they said, "however Shakira doesn't have any plans to pursue a relationship with him or anyone else right now - her children and career are her main priorities for the time being."
