Tom Cruise has his sights set on singer Shakira at Formula 1's Grand Prix in Miami in early May.

The two were seen getting very close while they mingled at the event, sparking rumors of a possible romance between them.

Rumors of a possible romance between the "Mission Impossible" actor and the "Waka Waka" singer have been swirling for some time, despite an earlier source denying any interest.

Yet, recent reports from witnesses at the well-known race suggest that the speculation may be more accurate than first thought.

According to them, the two were noticeably flirtatious while in a particular area reserved for VIPs at the event.

Observers were in no doubt: the two of them couldn't keep away from one another. Speaking to a reporter, an onlooker revealed to In Touch magazine that "Tom had removed his glasses and was leaning in close. The couple seemed totally enthralled in their dialogue - and with each other."

They revealed that Tom could sweet-talk her in Spanish, which dazzled the singer.

The connection that the two celebrities had was reportedly remarkable.

It came quickly to the two of them, according to an insider close to the situation, and Tom must take the next step to see where it could go.

Since they attended a Formula 1 together - which was more like a first date, according to the source - Tom made a sweet gesture and sent flowers after they parted ways.

Still, there's yet to be a word from either of them if they will be romantically seeing each other or if they're just friends.

Shakira Faces New Problems

Inspired by her children, Shakira blessed her audience with a calming song, "Acróstico."

The recent release of the song has been met with significant backlash and criticism.

Many were shocked to see Milan and Sasha, the children of Gerard Piqué, featured in the music video.

Some have gone so far as to assert that he had no idea they would be present in such a manner.

Whatever one's opinion on this matter, it is clear that the song has provoked quite a stir.

Nevertheless, Shakira's legal representative explicitly said that Barranquilla always strives for excellence, and there is no issue with Gerard.

Yet, another difficulty has surfaced with a Basque songwriter making a plagiarism claim concerning the tune of Shakira's new song.

Through her Instagram stories, Paula Mattheus suggested that "I told you really" and "Acrostico" share striking similarities.

A decision has yet to be made by Mattheus on how to address the matter.
