The Jonas Brothers is by far one of the most popular siblings in Hollywood. Becoming a global sensations as teenagers, Joe, Kevin, and Nick, were introduced to the spotlight as household names, as they became Disney Channel superstars.

Like normal brothers, the trio has since expressed that they're naturally competitive, but that doesn't mean they want to tear each other apart when it comes to success in their careers, in fact, their plan was to see a "Jonas" win every time.

Joe Jonas Was 'Jealous' Of Nick Jonas

In an interview with Dax Sheppard's "The Armchair Expert," Joe and Nick shared to the podcast how at one point, the other's success brought the other one into tears out of jealousy.

"Jealous" wasn't just a Nick Jonas hit, it's what Joe Jonas felt at the time when Nick was booked to be a coach at "The Voice."

Upon hearing the news, Joe recalled being in a Fleetwood Mac concert in 2019, when he learned that Nick got the spot as a coach on The Voice Season 18.

"It was at the most picturesque setting, it was at the Fleetwood Mac show at [Madison Square Garden] and as they're playing 'Landslide,' I found out that he was going to be a judge on The Voice," he recalled. "I was so jealous I cried my eyes out to 'Landslide.''

For Joe, it was a "bittersweet" moment for him because he was proud of his younger brother getting that gig, but "bummed" that he got it and not him.

Notably, Joe Jonas also served as a coach on "The Voice Australia" which was exactly the reason why he was so jealous of his brother.

Despite Nick winning at that point, the two also experienced loss when they auditioned for a career-defining role.

Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas Auditioned For 'Wicked'

Elsewhere in the podcast, Nick revealed that after all the jealousy they feel toward each other at some point in their careers, they, after all, are on the same team. He also added that it was their "goal" for a "Jonas" to win every time, regardless of who it was.

In continuing the story, Nick revealed that he and Joe both auditioned for the role of Fiyero Tigelaar in the "Wicked" movie. Fiyero was both the love interest of Ariana Grande's Glinda and Cynthia Erivo's Elphaba.

"And we were going into it... and naturally, we're brothers, we're competitive in sports and other things, but when it comes to our career, I think we genuinely both looked at each other like," Nick said, to which Joe continued: "Yeah, we said, 'Go in there and kill it 'cause it's gotta be one of us. It has to be one of us.' That being said, never got that call."

Eventually, "Bridgerton's" Jonathan Bailey scored the role.
