Zara Larsson is a woman of many talents, and she is finally stepping out and revealing the secrets that she has kept for years.

The Swedish singer is definitely not the first who has crossed the threshold of being a singer to becoming an actress, but unlike other stars who have made a clean and successful transition, Larsson is taking her time.

"I've been wanting to act for a really long time, but I've never really took the matter into my own hands," the "Lush Life" singer admitted to Pop Crave.

Larsson also revealed that she had auditioned-and got rejected-for the Madonna biopic, which ended up getting scrapped.

"That is kind of the only role I would have done because everything else that I've been asked to do has been like, 'You're gonna play a pop star', which is kind of what I stay away from."

Pop Star Status

Despite wanting to act, Larsson added that music is still her first love and passion, and she will not trade it for anything in the world.

"I just think it's so fun! I also like the show of it. I like the glamour," Larsson explained why she preferred singing over acting. "Certain things you just like."

"I don't know why it just speaks to me. And I think I grew up with, again, Britney, Christina, or Beyoncé-just girls that I thought were so cool. And I still think pop is very cool. Some people don't see pop as very cool, and I think it's because usually, majority [of it] is run by women."

The singer also explained how fun and experimental pop music can be, and how she can express her emotions best through music, which is why she prefers being a singer, "Like, that's my dream. I don't know... Yeah, I still want to be a pop star."

Netflix Debut

Just because Larsson insists that she is not cut out to be an actress or she does not have what it takes, it did not stop the singer from pursuing a minor role in a Netflix show.

According to Metro, Larsson is taking part in a Netflix coming-of-age drama titled "A Part of You."

The singer admitted that it took her a while to get used to filming, and revealed that she could not stop looking at the camera and that she lacks "discipline."
