After nearly two decades of performing in Las Vegas, Celine Dion recently sold her $30 million estate near Caesars Palace.

Sources have said that the Canadian-born singer is returning home to focus on her health after being diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome.

In a shocking announcement, the "My Heart Will Go On" crooner canceled her much-anticipated global tour because she could not overcome the rare medical condition she had been dealing with.

With her spirits low, the singer announced that she would take some time at home in Canada to recover.

Radar Online reported that the Grammy award-winning singer has a massive family of 11 siblings in Canada. This provides her with an incredible, affectionate environment to fall back on during challenging times.

Celine's health situation is dire - despite all of her care and attention, it appears that her disease cannot be cured, a source revealed to the outlet.

This past December, Celine shared with the public that she was diagnosed with the condition that leads to spontaneous muscle contractions and other dangerous medical issues; within six years of diagnosis, this condition could prove fatal.

Celine Dion, however, declared that she was not surrendering in a message to her followers.

One of her friends noted that the singer was compelled to reorient her life based on this new situation.

The prospect of the singer-songwriter taking the big stage for a world tour this year and next is becoming increasingly unlikely, according to one close confidant.

"She was so enthusiastic about the possibility of another Las Vegas residency," they said, "but now it's doubtful we'll ever get to witness her performing live again."

Celine is reportedly pushing hard to conquer the hardships she's been facing and has looked towards her close friend Shania Twain for support.

A source revealed that despite that effort, Celine wishes most of all to be back in Quebec in the embrace of her family.

The two pals reportedly have enjoyed a relationship of quiet support for many years.

According to Radar Online, these two renowned singers have fostered a bond as confidantes since the inception of their respective careers.

An insider has revealed that Celine and Shania have grown closer due to the former's diagnosis of stiff-person syndrome.

"Shania is absolutely determined to provide Celine with the support she needs as she battles this disorder," they said.
