Bruce Dickinson does not want Iron Maiden to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - not anytime soon.

Iron Maiden is among the bands that are yet to be inducted into the Rock Hall despite their decades-old of career. But instead of feeling broken about it, Dickinson revealed why he does not want the band to score that title yet.

Bruce Dickinson on Iron Maiden's Repeated Snubs at Rock Hall

Dickinson shared his thoughts about Iron Maiden's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame snubs during an interview with The Telegraph. Compared to other bands and musicians, the frontman explained why they are not rushing to bring home the title.

During the May interview, published on June 16, Dickinson reflected on Iron Maiden's failure to make it to the 2023 Rock Hall inductees and said he does not want the designation at all.

"We don't give a monkey's [ass] because the people that get us are not the people that run the music business establishment, whatever that is, because that is largely run by people that can't make a living doing anything else," he said, adding the reason why he does not want Iron Maiden to be in the Rock Hall, "Because we're not dead yet!"

Dickinson also reflected on Iron Maiden's capacity to create unique music and refusal to release "disposable pop music."

The band scored chances to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame several times after being nominated twice in 2021 and 2023.

While other bands and musicians expressed their dismay over the snubs, Dickinson maintained his disapproval of having Iron Maiden inducted into the Rock Hall.

Before Iron Maiden's first-ever nomination, the singer told The Jerusalem Post in 2018 that he did not want to be there and that he would refuse if they would ever be inducted.

Dickinson's statement came after Rock and Roll Hall of Fame CEO Greg Harris explained to Taryn Daly during an interview with Audacy Check In why nominees indeed have high chances to be inducted but not everyone can make it.

He made Iron Maiden as the band's fans called out the organization over the snub even after scoring a fourth place in the fan vote with nearly half a million score.

The musicians who made it to the cut include Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow, Kate Bush, Missy Elliott, George Michael, The Spinners, and Rage Against the Machine.
