The Smiths are one of the most beloved families in Hollywood, and for good reason: every one of them is lovable and hilarious, and Jaden Smith just revealed why that might be.

"I think it was my mom, actually, that was really the first one to make that step for the family," he revealed during his appearance at the Psychedelic Science conference in Denver, referring to his mother Jada Pinkett Smith.

"It was just her for a really, really long time and then eventually it just trickled and evolved, and everybody found it in their own ways."

According to the actor slash singer, the matriarch of the Smith family decided that it was best to get them to use psychedelics to help them into adulthood and relationships, as well as their way of thinking.

"Siblings can argue so much and fight so much, and lord knows me and my siblings have done so much of that in the past," Smith continued.

The Smith Siblings Work It Out

Smith is one of three children, alongside Willow and their half-brother Trey. They are known to have a close bond

"But the level of love and empathy that I can feel for them inside of the (psychedelic) experiences and outside of the experiences has been something that's profound and beautiful."

Smith also noted that thanks to psychedelics, their relationship is doing a lot better, as well as their personal lives.

"It will actually help us to open up our minds to get out of the old ways of thinking that got us into lots of these arguments, and open it up so that it just releases and makes room for you to work it out and massage it out until it's completely gone."

Jada Pinkett Smith's Reasons

According to reports, Pinkett Smith has always been a believer in psychedelics after being introduced to it as well.

"It's not successful for everybody," the actress slash host explained how traditional medication for her depression was not as effective as the alternative plant medicine.

"I struggled with depression for so long. And the thing about the plant medicine is it helps you feel better but also solves the problems of how you got there in the first place."

Pinkett SMith promised that fans will be able to find out the entire story of her getting into psychedelics as well as what led to her introducing it to the rest of her family as well.

"It all gets answered in the book," she told People magazine, referring to her upcoming memoir "Worthy."

"I think people have made a lot of assumptions. And you know what? Rightfully so. I have to take ownership of that, in regards to the narrative that I've participated in, the falsehoods about myself," she continued.

"Worthy" will be released on October 17.
