DJ Akademiks is still not convinced that Tory Lanez shot Megan Thee Stallion in the foot at the 2020 Kylie Jenner party in California despite the glaring evidence presented in court that got the Canadian rapper convicted.

Tory Lanez is now convicted of three felony charges and is awaiting a sentencing trial that he kept on delaying in the past few months.

DJ Akademiks Doubtful of Tory Lanez Verdict

Sharing his thoughts on VladTV, Akademiks, a well-known internet personality on the hip-hop scene, was candid in his confession.

"I thought [Tory Lanez] didn't do it," he told the show "I'm still kinda a little doubtful, but the verdict is the verdict. I think the people who were reporting at court at that time were biased."

Akademiks even cited Drake, who notably got flak after rapping about Megan Thee Stallion's shooting on "Circo Loco." Drake stands by with his fellow Canadian rapper, believing that Meg really wasn't shot by Lanez.

Listen to Akademiks' interview on VladTV below.

"We even had Drake who said, 'The chick is lying.' And he took some flack for it. It became one of those things where the majority of the industry was like, 'You know what? This Tory guy might be innocent.'" he added.

Confusingly, 21 Savage, a close collaborator of Drake and his partner on the album where "Circo Loco" was from, stood with Megan Thee Stallion in 2020 in a tweet, saying that he wished he could give the rapper a hug and he was "praying" for her. Drake's producer, Noah 40 Shebib, also implied support for Stallion. (via AllHipHop)

"This b#### lied about gettin' shots, but she still a stallion/She don't even get the joke, but she still smilin'," Drake rapped on "Circo Loco."
