She has dominated the last four decades, and she has not slowed down in 2023 - until now, shocking all her fans and making them worry that this is her end.

Madonna was hospitalised on June 24, 2023 for a severe bacterial infection after she was discovered unresponsive in her residence. Here is an update on her health as well as a glimpse at the actress throughout the years.

Allegedly, Madonna had been rehearsing nonstop for her "Celebration" tour, which was intended to honour her 40-year career and was scheduled to begin on July 15 in Vancouver.

On the world tour, the performer had more than 80 scheduled performances, including six nights in New York, Los Angeles, and London. As a consequence of her hospitalisation, all these plans are currently in limbo. Madonna may have suffered from a mild ailment during the last month of planning.

Madonna ICU: Near Death Experience Her Fault? 

The 64-year-old kept her illness a secret for more than a month prior to her hospitalisation, according to a recent report by TMZ. She feared that if she sought medical attention, it would jeopardise the tour she has worked so hard to prepare for.

The infection worsened as a result of the delay in receiving treatment. In addition to not taking the time to care for herself and treat her fever, a source close to Madonna told The Sun that she was working "overtime" prior to becoming ill.

"She exhausted herself," the source says, adding that her loved ones had urged her to slow down. Her extreme exertion was extremely hazardous.

Madonna Recovery: Is She Really Resting?

 On July 3, 2023, "League of Their Own" co-star Rosie O'Donnell posted a vintage photo of herself and Madonna with the caption "Remember when?"

One of Madonna's fans asked the 61-year-old comedian in the comments portion of her post how the "Vogue" singer was recovering from her health scare.

O'Donnell responded to the fan's enquiry by writing that the star is indeed recovering at home and is extremely resilient.
