Madonna and Mariah Carey broke several records and released several chart-topping songs over the years. But who got a higher net worth than the other?

The pop industry has been home to a number of powerhouses, including Madonna and Carey, both of which have held sold-out concerts and released record-breaking tracks and albums over the years.

But in terms of net worth, one pop diva is definitely richer than the other.

Madonna VS Mariah Carey: Who Has Higher Net Worth?

As of 2023, Celebrity Net Worth lists Madonna and Carey among the best-selling female artist of all time: one is on the top, while the other remains in the second spot.

What made the "La Isla Bonita" hitmaker richer than the other pop diva is the fact that she also has millions worth of art and real estate on top of her earnings as a musician. The website revealed that Madonna owns around $100 million worth of art-related belongings and $80 million in the real estate industry.

On the other hand, Carey outshined Madonna in several categories, including having the most No. 1 songs and scoring a whopping number of awards from different accolades like Grammys, Billboard Music Awards, and American Music Awards.

Madonna, Mariah Carey's Feud Explored

Despite having the same goal in the music industry, Madonna and Carey are said to be far from having good terms.

In fact, the "Material Girl" hitmaker shaded Carey in her interview with Spin, per Culled Culture, saying that the pop diva is a very talented singer, but she would kill herself if she ever wished she was the other singer. She also said that she did not find Carey's work impressive and that her songs could never call a work of art.

On the other hand, Carey ignited the feud when she held a press conference in London in December 1995.

"I really haven't paid attention to Madonna since I was in like seventh or eighth grade when she used to be popular," she said at that time.
