The Beach Boys have been around since the 60s, with their undeniable catchy songs and all-American good looks, but how did they manage to last so long?

The rock band is about to let their fans in on their decades-long secret with their forthcoming memoir "The Beach Boys by The Beach Boys," which is expected to drop in December.

"There's love in the music and people can relate to the love, regardless of whether you're two years old or 92 years old," said Brian Wilson about The Beach Boy's success.

The group has managed to keep themselves relevant and their music still playing on the radio-especially during summer time.

"For me, music is about love. Love is the message I want to share. I hope people feel that in my music. That makes the hard work worth it," he continued.

According to reports, the anthology will be a limited edition with only 500 copies to be printed. It will feature the writings of Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, Dennis Wilson, Carl Wilson, and Bruce Johnston, including unreleased pictures of the band.

Not a lot of information is available about the upcoming book, however, the description of the book reads: "It captures the group's astounding rise from Hawthorne garage band to internationally renowned act, covering the release of their first single, "Surfin',' up to their 1980 Independence Day concert at the National Mall in Washington D.C., for an audience of over half a million people."

Elsewhere in the description nods to The Beach Boy's appeal to the American and international audience and how they managed to weave themselves into the "cultural fabric of America."

The Beach Boys Family

The Beach Boys have seen their fair share of past members, including Carl, Dennis, David Marks, Ricky Fataar, and Blondie Chaplin.

Despite no longer being with the group, they have contributed much to its success over the years.

"I think it's the heart that you put into what you're doing that's important. Each member of the Beach Boys puts their whole heart and soul into what they do, and that is probably the saving grace of the group," Wilson shared in a statement. "Few families are together spiritually and emotionally over art."

These sentiments were echoed by Love, who said, "The environment in which we grew up and the things we chose to sing about primarily, which were the beautiful things about growing up in Southern California - the lovely girls, the lovely cars, the lovely weather and the lovely beaches - it was like an endless summer."
