Foo Fighters just gave the world another eight-second glimpse of their new Sonic Highways album.

The clip, posted by Twitter Music, features the band's typical guitar-heavy sound. There aren't any vocals from Dave Grohl this time around, and the sample is not quite enough to appease a thirsty fan base, but it's something.

Projected for a Nov. 10 release, Sonic Highways will be the Foos' first studio effort since 2011's Wasting Light.

The group reportedly recorded the new album all across the country, with one song recorded in each city. Every song features a guest musician from the city it was recorded in, including Gary Clark, Jr. in Austin, Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen in Chicago, and the Eagles' Joe Walsh in Los Angeles. The album's recording process was documented in Foo Fighters Sonic Highways, an HBO series set to premiere in October.

In fact, the first trailer (featuring President Obama and Pharrell, among others) for that show dropped a couple weeks ago.

"This isn't just the making of our most ambitious album; this is a love letter to the history of American music," Grohl said in the clip, which you can watch below:

Here's the tracklist for Sonic Highways, which will be the band's longest album in terms of minutes, but its shortest in terms of number of songs.
