Collaborations in the music industry can be as difficult to get, but it can also be as easy as shouting out that person on social media or during an interview.

Younger artists usually have a bucket list or a checklist of who they want to work within the industry. In the case of Demi Lovato, she expressed wanting to work with an "American Idol" alumna.

Demi Lovato Idolizes Kelly Clarkson

In an interview with Andy Cohen for his SiriusXM show, Demi Lovato shared with everyone the collaboration of her dreams.

"I've never worked with Kelly Clarkson, and I love her so much and I grew up idolizing her," the "Cool For The Summer" singer revealed in the interview.

Apparently, Lovato wanted to be a "Little Kelly" back then, as she confessed that her first email at the time was "littlekelly@yahoo.com" along with a few numbers she is so embarrassed to disclose.

Demi Lovato, Kelly Clarkson New Song

Elsewhere in the interview, Lovato said that working with Clarkson is one of her "life goal." However, she pointed out that the song selection is crucial for their collaboration, saying that it would have to be "perfect.

"We just have to find the right song. We've definitely talked about it in the past, so it's like not in the works, but it's a high possibility. It's just like finding the right song that the both of us can belt on would be dope," Lovato shared.

In the past, Lovato and Clarkson had a dearly interaction. On June 2022, Clarkson covered Lovato's song "Anyone" at "The Kelly Clarkson Show," which delighted Lovato in return.

"[This is] a dream come true," Lovato said on Instagram Stories. "[I] grew up singing @kellyclarkson and now she's covering my song. You crushed this Kelly!! Love you!!!," she added."

Demi Lovato New Album 'Revamped'

Although a collaboration with Clarkson wouldn't be anytime around soon, Demi Lovato will be releasing her newest album, "Revamped." The album is a "reimagined" and "revamped" version of Lovato's songs reimagined as rock songs.

"With REVAMPED, I wanted to pay homage to the songs that resonated the most with fans and played a big role in my career by breathing an exciting new life into them. Creating this project has been incredibly fun and allowed me to express my passion for rock music in a new way, and I feel so much closer to my older music because of it. I can't wait for everyone to hear more!" Lovato shared in the same interview.
