If you're not someone who stayed on the internet in the past few days, you might have missed that Ariana Grande and her husband of two years, Dalton Gomez, have separated.
Now, new details about their marriage emerge, with sources claiming that the other tried to make it work despite all odds.
Ariana Grande, Dalton Gomez Breakup
According to a People Magazine source, Dalton Gomez seemed to try and make his marriage with Ariana Grande work.
"Dalton is very religious and was committed to making it work, but Ariana had moved on," the source claimed.
The same source also revealed that Gomez has been "quietly and lovingly working on their friendship" since. Conflicting reports emerged saying that the couple broke up in January 2023, but Grande was seen celebrating their second anniversary in May 2023.
Meanwhile, a Radar Online source confirmed that Gomez wasn't exactly thrilled that Grande scored her dream role in the "Wicked" movie as it would pose scheduling conflicts for them as a couple.
"While Dalton is used to her career being a priority, his patience has worn thin. He just wants his partner back," the source claimed.
Another source echoed the People Magazine insider's claim. According to a Page Six source, Gomez has flown to the United Kingdom, where Grande filmed "Wicked," to try and patch things up.
"They came to the decision together. They were having problems before January, but they want to remain best friends," the source furthered.
Aside from this, the insider said that their friends and families "have been trying to protect them," but eventually failed.

Ariana Grande 'Feared' Dalton Gomez?
On Twitter, an Arianator screenshotted a photo of Ariana Grande liking a photo quote on Instagram that said this: "Never again will I be in a relationship with someone I fear."
This led fans to believe that there was really a huge spat between the couple, as many pointed out that Grande wouldn't have liked that if there weren't.
The Sun also pointed out that Grande has also interacted with other Instagram posts talking about "setting boundaries, healing from trauma, and dealing with difficult people."
As of this writing, the real reason why Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez broke up is still not revealed.
