After her breakup with Joe Alwyn, Taylor Swift, and Selena Gomez have reportedly reconnected after years of "growing apart."
Although some sources have disputed that the two ever truly went their separate ways, it appears they did drift apart during the "Lavender Haze" singer's time with Joe from 2016 until April of this year.
Now, however, it seems that Taylor and her long-time best friend have reconnected once again.
After the breakup and regaining some of her free time, Taylor has reconnected with Selena as reported by Radar Online.
According to sources close to them, the two are close associates once again.
An informant announced to the National Enquirer that "Taylor and Selena were back in each other's lives before she had started seeing Joe Alwyn," and have already begun discussing all the latest news.
Back in 2016, an encounter between two individuals sparked a connection that would remain strong for the next six years. Despite being known for frequently talking about her relationships, pop star sensation, Taylor and her partner Joe kept their relationship out of the limelight.
Unfortunately, sources reported that it was "personality differences" that caused their eventual parting of ways early this year.
Though friends believed that Taylor and Joe's relationship would eventually get back on track, a source confirmed that the two decided to part ways.
Sharing a special connection since their first meeting in 2008, the ex-lovers soon realized that their paths were no longer meant to journey together.
"Despite having weathered other difficult patches before," said the source, "this time it was clear that things weren't going to work out between them."

Meanwhile, Selena Gomez has opened up about her deep friendship with Taylor Swift, admitting that much of what goes on between the two remain out of public view.
Speaking to WSJ in January 2020, the "Heart Want What It Wants" singer praised her friend for how she had surprised her with her support over the years.
"She has shown up for me in ways I would have never expected," Selena said fondly.
The former Disney star declared that her family situation affects her greatly, and she relies on the support of one of her dear friends.
She commented: "It has been evident throughout the years and in every second of my life that this person is certainly one of my closest companions. We may not always agree, but we appreciate each other completely."
