Dove Cameron is one of the budding new artists on the block that has been floating in the music industry for a while. Winning Best New Artist at the MTV Video Music Awards, Cameron is waiting to splash big with her debut album.

Cameron is not entirely new to making music. As early as 2015, the soundtrack of her breakthrough Disney show "Liv & Maddie," reached No. 180 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The "Descendants" albums topped the Billboard Soundtracks Chart, with the first one debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Now, Cameron is excited to dawn on a new era for her career.

Dove Cameron New Album 2023 Details

Speaking to Variety, Dove Cameron revealed the details for her upcoming debut album.

"I'm inches away," Cameron confessed. "I have just narrowed it down from about 60 songs that I have written. I'm trying to get the number of songs on the album really high, but Columbia is being reasonable."

The fact that she wrote 60 songs for the album is shocking. Notably, "Boyfriend," Cameron's first ever Platinum record, is part of that Dove Cameron Debut album. "Boyfriend" received critical acclaim, noted as a "dramatic and dark queer James Bond anthem."

"I'm being unreasonable. I've got all my favorites and most of them have been sent to the mixer and finished and the ones that aren't I just left the studio last night at midnight while I'm in L.A," she added.
