Before her untimely passing, it was apparent that Lisa Marie Presley was ready to make a triumphant comeback.

An individual close to the situation revealed to Radar Online that "she was eager to show the world she was ready", expressing that an imperative component of this comeback would be releasing new music and taking on a larger role in managing her father, Elvis Presley's, legacy.

A recent autopsy report uncovered that the illustrious music icon had passed away at the age of 54 due to health issues related to her weight loss surgery.

According to a source who spoke to the outlet, it seemed her ego was ultimately what caused her self-destruction without her even being aware of it.

On January 12, it was confirmed by Los Angeles County Medical Examiner that a small bowel obstruction due to scar tissue from a bariatric procedure was responsible for taking away the life of the singer.

In 2019, when the recovering addict weighed a hefty 257 pounds, she decided to go under the knife.

As per a family friend, "These surgeries have an impressive rate of success, yet Lisa Marie's tragic death was due to poor post-operative self-care."

Those close to the Princess of Graceland revealed that Lisa Marie had grown increasingly anxious about her promotional duties for the 2022 "Elvis" biopic starring Austin Butler.

It was reported that she was taking great care to ensure all eyes would be on her while making the rounds through the award circuit.

Before her operation, Lisa Marie had experienced a significant gain in weight which was a source of shame for her.

Even afterward, there were fluctuations in her size as a result of her desire to appear slim, an insider close to her revealed.

To achieve this goal, it's said that the individual resorted to consuming large amounts of medication.

The source sadly remarked that Lisa Marie Presley's health had been severely diminishing.

An autopsy revealed the presence of oxycodone, quetiapine, and buprenorphine in the deceased's system; these drugs were legally prescribed painkillers, an antipsychotic medication, and a drug to treat opioid use disorder respectively.

An expert warned of the dangers posed by certain drugs that cause paralysis of the intestines. When food remains in the intestines for too long, more water is removed from the body and waste becomes so hard it can cause an obstruction.

According to an official report, Lisa Marie's past behavior included "overmedicating," "alcohol abuse" and taking "illicit drugs." Furthermore, Elvis Presley's daughter was consuming a full pack of cigarettes daily, despite her supposed sobriety since 2015.
