If you were on social media in the past 24 hours, you would know that the news cycle stopped talking about Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater and shifted to Lizzo.

The artist, known for famously advocating body positivity in all of her songs and acts, was now shockingly the subject of a very damaging lawsuit that pretty much negates all what she stands for.

Lizzo Forced Her Dancers To Eat Banana?

In a report from Page Six, the Grammy-winning singer-rapper was accused of forcing her dancers to eat bananas that came from strippers. However, the bananas were not handed down by strippers, they literally came and were used as a sex toy on their vaginas first, before being forced to be eaten by her dancers.

"... things quickly got out of hand. Lizzo began inviting cast members to take turns touching the nude performers, catching dildos launched from the performers' vaginas, and eating bananas protruding from the performers' vaginas," the lawsuit alleged.

The disgusting act was only among the many scathing allegations against Lizzo and her dance captain Shirlene Quigley in the lawsuit. It was even alleged that Lizzo forced her dancers to take turns in touching the breasts of sex workers, among other acts.

The said allegations apparently took place when Lizzo and her crew were in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The lawsuit claims that these acts happened between 2021 through 2023. Notably, Lizzo last came to the Netherlands on Feb. 23, 2023, for the "Special" Tour.

Lizzo Lawsuit Explained

Rolling Stone obtained a copy of the lawsuit, targeting Lizzo, formally known as Melissa Viviane Jefferson, and her dance captain Shirlene Quigley. The case was filed before the Los Angeles County Superior Court be Lizzo's former dancers - Ariana Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez.

Apart from being sexually abused, they also claimed to be spiritually and racially abused, on top of being weight-shamed at one point by Lizzo herself. Allegations of a hostile work environment among the crew also emerged.

The plaintiff's lawyer, Ron Zambrano shared to Variety a statement about the lawsuit.

"The stunning nature of how Lizzo and her management team treated their performers seems to go against everything Lizzo stands for publicly, while privately she weight-shames her dancers and demeans them in ways that are not only illegal but absolutely demoralizing."
