Tragedy has struck as Lil Tay, the 15-year-old rap artist, and social media influencer, is said to have passed away along with her brother.

The young star first made a name for herself in 2017 when she established an online presence by showing off her wealth and using inappropriate language.

The family of the young star has issued a heart-wrenching statement, announcing their profound grief at their cherished daughter's unexpected and sorrowful passing.

"Nothing can describe the unfathomable anguish and immense sadness they feel in this difficult time."

"This outcome was entirely unexpected and has left us all in shock. Her brother's passing adds an even more unimaginable depth to our grief."

Yet, many supporters observed an eerie Instagram post by Lil Tay (real name Claire Hope) several years before her suspicious passing.

Lil Tay's last Instagram post honed the memory of the late rapper XXXTentacion in 2018.

"X, you truly changed me, (red heart emoji)," she wrote in the caption of a picture showing a screenshot of her video-calling the older rapper.

"you were there for me when everyone wanted me to fail; you were there to give me advice; you were there. As a father figure, when I don't have one, you were here, FaceTiming me and calling me for hours when I was down; 3 hours ago, you announced the Charity event we were going to throw, and we had everything setup; I can't believe this, the evil in the world, This isn't good ByeI Love you, Bro."

On June 18, nearly five and a half years ago, the world lost XXXTentacion (real name Jahseh Onfroy) at only 20 years old.

He had left RIVA Motorsports motorcycle shop when he was shot in his BMW. The gunmen opened fire multiple times and made away with a Louis Vuitton bag filled with $50,000 before fleeing in an SUV.
