Magoo: Career and Net Worth Explored

According to Billboard, Magoo was born Melvin Barcliff. He was only a teenager when he first met his rap partner, Timbaland, they later teamed up and collaborated to become a duo.

The pair went on to have a very successful career, especially after the release of their first album ever titled "Welcome to Our World" under Barry Hankerson's Blackground Records in 1997.

Despite being new to the game, the duo's debut project peaked at number 33 on the Billboard 200 and number 9 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.

Some of their most popular songs to date are "Up Jumps Da' Boogie," "We at it Again," "Cop That S***," "Party People," "I Am Music," "Don't Make Me Take It There," and many more.

After the success of their first album, the pair went on to drop two more records titled "Indecent Proposal" and "Under Construction, Part II."

Timbaland went on to have a successful solo music career, but Magoo said in a previous interview with the outlet that he never saw himself going solo.

"I've never seriously thought about doing a solo album. I've thought about it in passing - like if Tim decided he wanted to stop rapping," he said.

Regarding his success, GH Base reported that Magoo's estimated net worth before his passing was $1 million, and most of his earnings came from his musical projects from the past.
