The long-time friends and Disney Channel stars Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez have revealed an exciting new development - that they will release singles on the same day, August 25th.
Ahead of the big day, Selena and Miley have chosen to show one another love.
To commemorate this decision, they posted a funny throwback video to a past episode of "Hannah Montana," which featured Selena (as her character Mikayla Sketch).
Although there had been some disagreements between Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus, the message was one of unity when Miley posted a clip on her Instagram.

The star of "Only Murders In The Building" also took to Instagram stories to post a touching clip.
Along with the video, she wrote: " @mileycyrus and I both have a SINGLE SOON and we are releasing on the same day. We have been friends since we USED TO BE YOUNG. Excited for August 25!!!"
Despite speculation that there may be tension between the two former Disney Channel actresses, no real feud exists.
According to a source who spoke to Hollywood Life in 2020 after Selena was featured on Miley's Instagram Live, their friendship is "back on," and reports of collaboration are likely accurate.
The outlet's insider source has reported that Miley and Selena have been able to rekindle their friendship, staying in touch with one another by following each other on Instagram.
Though the future is uncertain, one thing is for sure: Miley has nothing but admiration for Selena after the two of them put on a great show together.
The source said, "Miley has tremendous admiration for Selena, praising her willingness to express her honest feelings. Collaborating with different artists is a favorite of Miley's, and Selena and Miley could do a song in the future. It's not on the horizon now, but all things are possible."
