Sabrina Carpenter Opens Taylor Swift's 'The Eras' Tour With 'Picture to Burn' Throwback Video [WATCH]

Sabrina Carpenter opened for the very first night of the Latin American leg of Taylor Swift's "The Eras" tour.

During her set, they showed a throwback video of Carpenter singing "Picture to Burn," a song from Swift's self-titled debut album, which touched the hearts of the fans.

The "Nonsense" singer has been a fan of the "Anti-Hero" singer for over a decade, and the nod to her cover of the song was a sweet and triumphant gesture.

Carpenter will be the opening artist for all of Swift's concerts in the Latin American leg of the tour, which includes Mexico City in Mexico, Buenos Aires in Argentina, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, and Sao Paulo in Brazil.

The "Fast Times" singer will also be opening for the singer in Australia and Singapore next year.

According to reports, Carpenter performed several of her hits from her album "Emails I Can't Send," including "Nonsense," "Read your Mind," "Vicious," "Already Over," "Tornado Warnings," and "Because I Liked a Boy."

She also treated fans to some of the song from the deluxe version of the album like "Feather" and "Opposite."

On top of that, Carpenter also sang "Dreaming of You" by Selena Quintanilla, one of the most beloved Mexican-American artists of all time.

Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Swift's Friendship

Before opening for Swift, Carpenter gushed about the opportunity being a "dream come true" for herself.

She has been singing covers of Swift's songs and uploading them on her YouTube channel since 2009. In 2010, she gushed about attending one of Swift's concerts as well.

Now that she is friends with and opening for the "Love Story" singer, Carpenter is floating on cloud nine.

According to reports, Swift recognized Carpenter as a friend in 2021, when she sent the "Vicious" singer a "Red (Taylor's Version)" care package which included a "Red" ring, cardigan, and the iconic scarf.

During the 2022 VMAs after party, Carpenter was photographed with Swift and BLACKPINK's Rose; then once again during the American Music Awards.

Since then, Carpenter has always been invited to Swift's private parties as well as one of "The Eras" tour shows.
